Guitar Hero: World Tour for the Xbox (85 at Metacritic) is on sale at Walmart for $13.92 plus a couple of bucks for shipping, or opt for in-store pickup. This is the version of Guitar Hero that came out about a year ago, and supports the full band — drums, guitar, bass, vocal. This copy is just the game, however.
If you already have the instruments from Rock Band, this is a cheap way to bring in another 86 songs, listed here. (Personal favorites: No Sleep Til Brooklyn and the two Hendrix tunes, although I bet Beat It does that “song you don’t really like, but is fun to play” thing that some of the best music game songs do.)
Steely Dan, “Do It Again” … that’s the guilty pleasure song for me on that list. “You go back – Jack – do it again… wheels turning round and round…”
