News Round-up
The Tokyo Game Show round-up, a fan-made Metal Gear Solid Movie, and the masochistic game of the week, below.
Tokyo Game Show
The 19th annual Tokyo Game Show – “the largest computer entertainment show in the world” – finished up last week.
The closest thing to news is that Microsoft and Sony are both in hot pursuit of motion controllers — those devices that will let you move in front of your console and translate that movement into in-game actions. Sony says that both ‘Resident Evil 5′ and ‘LittleBigPlanet’ will be patched for motion-control gameplay — props for giving new life to old games. The new peripherals are scheduled to appear in the spring.
Otherwise, it looks like it was mostly an avalanche of trailers and demos. ClassyGamer rounds up the best game trailers, and G4 posts it all.
And now, for your viewing pleasure (and general mockery): Tokyo Game Show booth babes.

Fan-made Metal Gear Solid Movie
A bunch of Metal Gear Solid fans made a 70-minute movie based on the franchise, called ‘Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy’ (also available through a torrent). Unsurprisingly, fan boys seem to enjoy it. The intention is to do a trilogy.
Why $60?
CrispyGamer wrote an article on why games are $60 and where that money goes. Short answer: nobody really knows how it came to that price point, but, now that it’s there, nobody really wants to change it, either.
Fable II adopts sales model favored by pushers everywhere
The well-reviewed RPG Fable II (Xbox, 89 at Metacritic) has been broken up into 5 downloadable parts on the Xbox Arcade. Part 1 is free, and then you buy episodes 2 through 5 in-game. You can start the download here.

Masochistic Game of the Week
Lose Lose is a 1980’s style shooting game that deletes random files on your computer when you shoot aliens. If your ship is destroyed, the game itself is deleted. It looks like this.
That pink booth babe is cute! PINK!!!!
